David Beckham appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box the morning after son, Brooklyn Beckham, slammed the family on social media.
The soccer star spoke about his kids making "mistakes" online.
David was also captured on camera appearing to refuse to answer a question about the controversy in a separate clip.
One day after Brooklyn Beckham made several allegations against his family — including Spice Girls icon Victoria Beckham and soccer star David Beckham — the 26-year-old's father cryptically addressed in a new televised interview "mistakes" his children have made in the past.
During a Tuesday morning appearance on CNBC's Squawk Box (below), David, 50, responded to one of the hosts' question about the dangers of social media, all in the wake of Brooklyn using his Instagram page to address what he claimed was long-standing problematic behavior on the part of his mother, father, and siblings — all stemming from his relationship to wife and actress, Nicola Peltz.
"I've always spoken about social media, and the power of social media for the good and for the bad. We've talked about what kids can access these days and it can be dangerous," David said on the air. "What I've found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons."

He pointed to his own usage of social media to benefit UNICEF in an effort "to make people aware of what's going on around the world for children."
David continued, cryptically referencing the behavior of his own family.
"I've tried to do the same with my children, to educate them," he said. "They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That's how they learn. That's what I try to teach my kids, but, you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well."
Additionally, British outlet Sky News attempted to ask David at the 2026 World Economic Forum if he had "a message for Brooklyn this morning" and if he's "disappointed family business is being aired in public," though the soccer legend appeared to refuse to answer both questions as he walked by Sky News' reporter.
On Monday, Brooklyn shared a series of Instagram Story posts calling out his family over what Brooklyn suggested was an enduring feud. "I have been silent for years and have made every effort to keep these matters private," Brooklyn began, adding, "I do not want to reconcile with my family" over their alleged issues.
"My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped," Brooklyn claimed, alleging that Victoria initially planned to make Peltz's wedding gown via her fashion brand, but cancelled "in the eleventh hour," forcing a last-minute shift in attire.
He then alleged that his parents "repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name" and "have never treated me the same since" he held out on the deal.

Brooklyn claimed David and Victoria also "went so far as to call me 'evil'" for seating his grandmother, Sandra, next to Peltz's grandmother at their wedding table, while his parents sat at a separate table.
Also at the 2022 wedding, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria allegedly "hijacked my first dance with my wife" during a planned "romantic dance" introduced by singer Marc Anthony in front of an estimated 500 guests. Brooklyn said that, instead of Peltz meeting him for the dance in the moment, his mother "danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone," leaving him embarrassed.
