Sorry #Tiva fans, this is the end of the line. Paramount+ has canceled NCIS: Tony & Ziva after its first and only season, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
"We feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to play these characters once again and to tell the next chapter of Tony and Ziva's story," stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo said in a joint statement. "Our deepest thanks go to our extraordinary cast, crew, writers, directors, and producers, and to our partners at CBS Studios and Paramount+ who helped make this dream a reality."
The pair continued, "But most of all, we want to thank the fans around the world who joined us on this adventure and finally got to see Tony and Ziva find their happily ever after."

The 10-episode NCIS spinoff brought back the fan-favorite duo of Tony DiNozzo (Weatherly) and Ziva David (de Pablo) a decade after the latter's final episode of NCIS, season 17's "In The Wind." In the closing minutes of that episode, Ziva bids an emotional adieu to NCIS anchor star Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and boards a plane to the French capital to reunite with Tony and the daughter she'd kept secret from him for years, Tali (Isla Gie).
The spinoff picks up with the pair living in Paris as they raise their daughter, with Tony running his own security firm, Salus Mondiale, and Ziva owning a language school in Paris. The duo's peaceful existence is rocked when they're framed for a worldwide cyberattack and forced to go on the run, leading to a race across Europe as they fight to clear their names while protecting their daughter from impending danger.
Before the series premiered on the streamer, the pair teased what fans had in store in a wide-ranging interview with EW. "It was critical that the fans got a little bit of the Tony and Ziva that they remembered, and more than that, that there was a romantic payoff that they never got in the mothership," de Pablo said at the time.
Luckily, #Tiva fans actually got what they've been waiting for after a years-long wait. In the final moments of the season 1 finale, Tony and Ziva tell Tali that they want to start dating again, and she supports their decision. Before they head out on a date, Ziva gifts Tony a photo of his late friend Henry (James D'Arcy) and Tali smiling together. They share a kiss, and the episode ends with a sweet montage of their best moments from the season.

When chatting with EW, De Pablo praised series showrunner and executive producer John McNamara for having "built a really beautiful world," one that was "incredibly ambitious in being able to explain the past, explore the romance, and delve into these characters' psychologies."
And, of course, Weatherly and de Pablo were in lockstep about who truly deserves credit for bringing NCIS: Tony & Ziva into the world. In Weatherly's words, "The fans are the reason that this show exists."
