Although this is Waka's first biological child, the rapper helped raise his stepdaughter, Charlie, 20, alongside his ex-wife Tammy Rivera. The two divorced in 2022.

During the 2021 season finale of his reality TV show Waka & Tammy: What the Flocka, Rivera's daughter Charlie asked Waka to officially adopt her.

Last year, while appearing on the Reality with the King podcast, Rivera reflected on her marriage to Waka and shared that although they are no longer together, the two have a lasting friendship.

"We were such friends. That was my homie. We kick s--t all the time. Like that was my friend, so even when the relationship...of course I'm human, so I hurt and things of that sort," said Rivera during the December podcast episode. "He was used to a lifestyle before me."

"So when we got together, he was fighting his own demons of, 'I want to be a family man. I got a good woman. I got Charlie and this going on. But I still out here in these streets,' " she continued. "A lot of people start making excuses for him, but he was young and he was trying to figure it out, too."
